Why BSCANS?

The internet and all of it's associated hardware, software and function continue to evolve at a dizzying pace.  You just want to be able to receive email, pay bills, keep up with family.  The internet makes that happen, but has it's own risks and rewards.

BSCANS is not the end all be all.  No one knows everything about everything, but the 30+ years experience of BSCANS provides ensures you will get the best of what we offer.  Answers, issues, problems - we can help and want you to be secure and have know how to keep reaping those internet rewards, while minimizing the risks.

This can be especially difficult for seniors.  We weren't raised with a computer in our hand, but quickly recognized the utility of having one.  The technology which changes so fast is sometimes difficult to keep up with, and the reason behind why we have to do the things we do to be secure is sometimes muddled.

We care that you understand and we definitely want everyone to practice best security practices.  You don't have to learn a new language, but you are still able to learn new tricks!

If you want to register, I will send you period updates to items of interest which may include:

  • Urgent patch or upgrade methods for critical vulnerabilities
  • New or prevalent spam/scam campaigns to be on the look out for
  • A periodic newsletter

You can forward me an email you think may be fake but not sure - I'll be glad to confirm. You can take a picture of a message you do not understand and send to me. I'll see if I can figure it out.

I have references available upon request, as well as my resume.  I want everyone involved in the help process to be comfortable with my assistance.

For organizations that support our seniors, BSCANS can also perform vulnerability testing on your websites and applications.  Just let us know.

We are available to assist anyone in the area that has issues with computer security, hardware or software, but our focus is on our senior cyber warriors.

BSCANS is proud to be a part of the Malwarebytes Techbench Program.  We make sure Malwarebytes is on all our computers, as well as most of family and friends.
